Lettuce Food Poisoning

Lettuce is one of the most common causes of food poisoning. Since the start of 2018, there have been over 10 major lettuce illness outbreaks involving E.coli. The 2 most recent involved packaged salad kits that sickened at least 30 and romaine lettuce grown in Salinas, CA that sickened at least 138.

was the only thing I had to eat all day. I was on a 5 hr drive and less than 2 hrs into the drive, I started feeling a little nauseous and mouth was watering like I wanted to vomit, but I didn’t. I had the worst food poisoning after eating a cheeseburger with lettuce, tomato, and grilled onions, no spread. I was in bed rest for two days straight throwing everything up and not being able to take any food or water.
