    You can get food poisoning from eating mushrooms. Most mushrooms do not contain any harmful bacterium, but mushrooms can become contaminated after being harvested. Mushrooms are grown in compost that has not been sterilized present a particularly high risk of food poisoning if they are eaten before being washed properly.

    22. Proper cold holding temperatures
    - comments: noted approximately 10 lbs of cooked chicken chunks in a 3-inch deep metal container of the upper portion service cooler at "savory stacks" with an improper cold holding temperature of 91. 6f. Also noted were cooked mushrooms in the same cooler at 44. 6f, both with today as a prep date. Reviewed proper cooling methods of cooked foods and proper cold-holding temperatures of tcs foods. All foods are discarded. Priority violation 7-38-005 citation issued.

    - comments: observed approximately 50 live small drain flies at the dish machine area around the food waste disposal machine and the conveyor belt for soiled dishes. See More 2 people infected with the outbreak strain of Listeria have been reported from 2 states (MI and NV). Both have been hospitalized, and no deaths have been reported. Sick people’s samples were collected from October 5, 2022, to October 8, 2022.

    Enoki mushrooms are white and have long, thin stems. They are often sold in bunch with roots in sealed plastic packaging. They are popular in Japanese, Chinese, and Korean food, and they are almost always eaten cooked in soups, hot pots, and stir-fried dishes.

    CDC advises people who are pregnant, aged 65 or older, or have a weakened immune system to not eat raw enoki mushrooms. CDC also advises restaurants to not serve raw enoki mushrooms. Cook enoki mushrooms thoroughly to kill any foodborne germs.

See More in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. The recalled Enoki Mushroom was distributed nationwide to distributors and retail stores. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem.

    The Enoki Mushroom comes in a 200g/7.05oz clear plastic package with the following description “Enoki Mushroom” in the front and Green Day Produce, Inc. in the back. The UPC is 16430-69080 and is located on the back side of the package. There is no lot code or dates on the package.
