Pasta Food Poisoning

It is possible to get food poisoning from pasta. Once it is cooked, pasta is a food poisoning risk even after reheating from heat resistant toxins formed by Bacillus cereus bacteria. Symptoms can include stomach pain, diarrhea, nausea, seldom vomiting, but no fever and can be deadly if untreated.

discovered during routine inspections by the MAPAQ and the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal. The company is recalling the product as a precautionary measure. To date, no illnesses have been reported in connection with the consumption of this product.

The recalled product is the company's "Bolognese" sauce, sold in unitary format. The recall affects all lots that do not have the phrase "Keep Refrigerated" on the label. The sauce was packaged in glass jars with a metal lid and sold refrigerated exclusively at the company's location at 950, boulevard Saint-Jean, in Pointe-Claire.

If you have this product at home and has not been kept refrigerated, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.

I ate a Gardenia Meatless meatball pasta bowl on Friday night. Later that night, I woke up with severe stomach pain and vomiting. I ended up experiencing diarrhea a few hours later. No one has food poisoning that fast unless you have no gallbadder. It was something you ate before. BTW, it's "my family and I" not me and my family.

My boyfriend and I shared the Cajun shrimp pasta with asparagus and a Caesar salad. We drove about 30 minutes home and about half way through our trip my stomach became upset.
