The Tazewell County Health Department is investigating a foodborne illness outbreak linked to Monical’s Pizza restaurant located at 6 Cherry Tree Shopping Center, Washington, IL 61571. As of Monday afternoon, 155 people had reported symptoms like vomiting, diarrhea, stomachaches, and body aches after dining at this place.... The first cases happened early last week.
Monical's Pizza restaurant was temporarily closed Saturday on the health department's recommendation. State health officials are currently working with the Tazewell County Health Department to identify the source.

On 03/18/2022, the company proceeded to announce the recall of all the pizzas in the Fraîch'Up range, marketed since June 2021.
As of 04/25/2022, 55 confirmed cases (54 children and 1 adult) have been identified, of which 53 are linked to STEC O26 strains, and 2 to STEC O103 strains. These cases occurred in 12 regions of metropolitan France: Hauts-de-France (12 cases), Ile-de-France (9 cases), New Aquitaine (8 cases), Pays de la Loire (7 cases), Brittany ( 6 cases), Grand Est (3 cases), Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes (2 cases), Occitanie (2 cases), Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur (2 cases), Center Val-de-Loire (2 cases) , Bourgogne Franche-Comté (1 case) and Normandy (1 case). Two children died.

Seattle & King County Public Health announced that they are investigating an outbreak of norovirus-like illness associated with vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and chills linked to Rock Wood Fired Pizza located at 830 N 10th St, Renton, WA 98057.
Since February 22, 2022, 12 total cases have... been reported, 9 people from 2 separate meal parties reported becoming ill after eating food from the Rock Wood Fired Pizza between February 19 and 20, 2022, and 3 employees who reported symptoms consistent with norovirus dating back to February 20, 2022, but who did not work while sick. No hospitalizations or death are reported at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
Environmental Health investigators revisited the restaurant on February 24 and confirmed proper cleaning and disinfection was completed. The restaurant was reopened on February 24, 2022.
Norovirus is very contagious and is easily transmitted from person to person most through the oral/fecal route. Considering that hand sanitizer does NOT work against this virus, it is important to wash your hands with soap. Use bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces.

CBS News Philly communicated that nearly 100 teachers and Staff members of Waterford Township School in New Jersey became ill after a catered staff appreciation luncheon on May 6. Health officials reported as many 97 staff members have been reported ill from 107 who attended the luncheon,... and they have reports of some hospitalizations linked to the outbreak.
The school had to close because they could not adequately staff the building, and Waterford Township School District Superintendent Dr. Brenda Harring sent a letter to parents explaining the situation and how they are acting about this situation.
Caryelle Lasher with the Camden County Health Department said: "Many of the people who consumed the lunch are now reporting illness with symptoms like diarrhea, fatigue, nausea, vomiting". The investigation is ongoing by the Camden County Health Department.
According to the news, the caterer of the event was Roma Pizza located in Berlin Township. They posted an apology on their social media site for those affected. The restaurant is closed until further notice, while health officials investigate the cause of these illnesses.
Caryelle Lasher stated, “The establishment voluntarily closed so that we can really conduct a thorough investigation of food storage, the property, the health and wellness of the employees there and really try to identify what went wrong here”.

The FSIS announced the recall of 5,001 pounds of frozen beef dumpling products by Menu19 LLC because they were produced without the benefit of federal inspection. These products were shipped to restaurants and retail locations in California. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due... to consumption of these products.
The recalled product is:
- 1.5-lb. cartons containing 12 pieces of “Mantu menu19” and UPC code: 86000524010.
The product subject to recall was produced in November 2020 through October 23, 2022 and does not bear the USDA mark of inspection because Menu19 LLC is not a federally inspected establishment.
FSIS is concerned that some product may in consumers' freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.

Saturday night November 12, Seemed to be related to dinner that night from here.
