Consuming contaminated Slim Fast can lead to food poisoning. In December 2009, a recall was issued due to contamination with Bacillus cereus which commonly causes intestinal illnesses with nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.

I was also drinking the vanilla and chocolate high protein powder shake!! Between March and April, in May I came out with a stomach ulcer, I'm not saying it was the product! But when reading this of burning and itching in the throat and esophagus!! Has anyone had an ulcer problem? Close to taking these products??? 👀👀👀👀🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️

I bought a 6 pack in carboard of the Vanila flavor Slim-fast in Raynham ma. I drink one bottle and was tempted to call poison control. It burned my mouth particularly my tongue and my bottom lip. A week later the swelling in my lip is almost gone but my tongue feels like it is on fire still. I thought I drank a bottle that contained LYE from cleaning the bottling line. No case I guess ?

They should be able to answer my question without delay. But , no, I now have to wait for another department to handle this. I am now NOT happy at all! These are being sold at all their sailor's in the SF area. They all make my throat sore.
I purchased 3 , 8 pack Strawberrys from 3 different locations. All of them cause a sore throat . This has been a common complaint on the web. Causes seem to be bacterial contamination.
