vomiting at the same time. i never had much of a fever and suspect chemical poisoning over a pathogen. ive had salmonella before. this was not it. i have been on bed rest mostly since sat morn. my chest still hurts 4 days later. while vomiting it was so salty. also, it seemed like something "counteracted" my digestion. my feces were "separated" oil/water/fibrous material. my vomit was mostly clear, yellow and watery with little food.(7hrs later). it was not bright green like with salmonella.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Fever

Purchased smithfield salami from here. Ate a sandwich last night with lettuce, spinach, pickles, etc. so I was unable to pinpoint what was causing the problem. Ate a plain salami sandwich this morning and felt stomach pain, nausea, and had diarrhea hours later. Have not had any dairy or alcohol.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Pain

The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 185,610 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) bacon topping products by Smithfield Packaged Meats Corp. because they may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically metal. - MEMBER’S MARK FULLY COOKED BACON CRUMBLES. 5-lb. packages. SKU 78742240923 with “BEST IF USED BY” date of “2022-11-18.”

The problem was discovered after the firm received a customer complaint reporting they found metal in the RTE bacon topping product.

Some of the bacon product may have been used to produce other products, which is why FSIS expects there to be additional products containing the bacon and urges consumers to check back frequently to view updated lists and labels.

FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
