Tuna Food Poisoning

Tuna food poisoning can occur whether eating raw tuna in sushi/poke or cooked tuna in sandwiches. In April 2019 a tuna outbreak linked to salmonella sickened 13 people after consuming contaminated sushi made from tuna. Later that year in Oct, tuna was recalled for possible scombroid poisoning.

Tuna sashimi salad, side of tuna sashimi, teriyaki salmon salad. Ordered through uber eats, food arrive around 7pm, ate when arrived. Woke up at 2:30 with nausea, stomach cramps and diarhea. warning were offered for sale only at the company Le Cartet inc., located at 106 McGill Street, Montreal, QC, Canada. As of now, no cases of allergic reactions associated with the consumption of these foods have been reported to MAPAQ.

The affected products include "Chicken Fried Rice" (350g), "Tuna Tataki Salad Quinoa" (450g), "Crab Cake with Tartar Sauce Grilled Vegetables" (400g), and "Teriyaki Chicken Salad" (325g). All lots of these products are included in the recall. The products were sold in plastic containers and refrigerated. All lots including the label do not include any mention of the presence of allergens.

People who are sensitive to the allergens mentioned in this recall notice are advised not to consume the recalled products. They must return it to the establishment where they bought it.

United States. The recall was initiated after it was discovered that a Tuna Salad Sandwich was mislabeled as an Egg Salad Sandwich, leading to an undeclared allergen of fish (Tuna).

The product in question is the Egg Salad Sandwich, packaged in a 7.22oz (205g) clamshell for individual sale, with the UPC 766375938415. The batch under recall has a use-by date of 03/23/2024. A total of 551 units have been recalled.

Do not consume recalled products to which you are allergic or sensitive as they may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction; and do not serve, use, sell, or distribute recalled products and return them to the store where it was purchased.

The staff were so nice and friendly...it was a great experience, EXCEPT I ordered the seared tuna bowl and added mushrooms and veggies. Later that night I had loose stool.
