Listeria is a type of bacterium that can cause a serious infection known as listeriosis. This bacterium is hardy and can tolerate conditions that many other foodborne bacteria cannot, such as cold temperatures and salty environments. It can be found in a variety of foods including raw or under-pasteurized milk, smoked fish, meats, cheeses, and raw vegetables. Symptoms of listeriosis include fever, headaches, and body aches. Serious forms of the disease can also lead to neurological complications and maternal or fetal damage in pregnant women.

In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.

I love the customer service there and all their employees, they’re so sweet and helpful. I cannot help but notice multiple times consuming Trader Joe’s products and numerous times eating the frozen meals from there, I have all had major issues processing and breaking down the food.... See More I would have extreme diarrhea. So today I pooped and noticed I pooped a lot, this is my 3rd round of pooping after flushing 2 other consecutive rounds. Im finding what looks like it could be parasites but I never had that happen before nor know if that’s what they look like if they even come out of your rectum. I’m looking harder and it seems like it may be noodles and bean sprouts and scallions that didn’t get digested. That definitely look like it was the Trader Joe’s frozen vegetable pad Thai. I ate other meals after that. I am confused. | Symptoms: Diarrhea See Less

Travelling from Spain to India, I arrived to my destination on Air India flight AI 451 from Delhi to Vishakhapatnam the 18 February 2024. The two of us who ate the lunch got sick by the next day. The diarrhea got worst and worst, until the 22 February we had to go to urgency where we were placed an intravenous line. We were soon released that same day, but then my condition worsened, and the 24 February I started having strong fever, fainting, feeling very weak, vomiting and realizing that I hadn't urinated in 3 days. I would flush anything I drank in less than 10 minutes, and was severely dehydrated. I was quickly hospitalized and remained in bed with an intravenous line and antibiotics until the 28 February, when I was released still very weak and not feeling well. My return flight to Spain departed the 29. Until that moment, I could do no other thing than remain in my hotel room. Later analyses back in Spain confirmed an infection by Salmonella, Shigella and enteroinvasive Escherichia coli, and I have been prescribed more antibiotics. That sandwich ruined an entire trip and I will never trust plane food again.. It was very likely the lunch offered in flight AI 415, the 18 frebuary, from Delhi to Vishakhapatnam.
