on bottle, because the bottle date for them is the manufacturing date. So according to web sites, it's not supppsed to be expired or rancid. When opening the bottle, it made a cracking sound, as bottles do when they have never been opened before. I took a huge dip and swallowed it fast, as I was trying to hurry to go to bed. The second I swallowed the sip, I tasted a horrible rancid/sour taste, and my stomach started burning immediately. It was instant. It was the same burn as you get when you swallow a " shot" of liquor, but even more intense. I instantly got nauseaus, and started burping. The burning was horrible in my stomach. I picked up the bottle, to check date, and I could smell a very potent, rancid type smell coming from it. It had the lid on, and the smell was still absolutely vile. I knew instantly something was very wrong. My stomach continued burning for 1.5 hours after I took the big sip, and when I woke up this morning, the entire right side of my stomach area hurts. I have sharp, aching pains in my right side. The pains have been occurring for about 2 hours now. I feel like my stomach is getting sick, and I have the feeling like I have to run to the bathroom in a minute. I'm getting the feeling that I'm about to have diareah. I'm worried because I've never drank/eaten anything that tasted and smelled so putrid. I don't know what happened to the drink. I did notice a clear/crystal/crusty type substance on the top of the bottle though after further inspection. I have not touched the drink anymore, and have not pouted out the liquid to see what it looks like. I talked to 2 nurses, and they told me if my symptoms progress to go to urgent care, to call the company and report, and to call the store I purchased it from, which is kroger.  | Symptoms: Stomach Pain, Cramps, Nausea, Burping

the next day. Feeling really bloated and full to the point of uncomfortable. I started to take lactaid for the milk digestion. Thinking it’s the milk. The day before yesterday I got sick to my stomach and no food or liquid stayed down. Diarrhea and vomiting dehydration lead to leg cramps and fatigue. So I fasted for over 24 hours. Today I had one all meat meal. Plain burger patty and bratwurst. A few hours later I had a bowl of morning summit almond cereal and shortly after that I started feeling gassy and bloated again. Like food didn’t make it down to my belly and it’s stuck where my esophagus and stomach meet. Painful and feeling as if it’s making my tummy bloat more as the night goes on. I’m tossing and turning and burping and farting and diarrhea came back. WTH. I’m not blaming the yesterdays stomach sickness on the morning summit cereal but I am concerned that it’s having a negative effect on my digestion and causing the cramping bloating and gas in my stomach. I was concerned I had a really big problem but after reading other folks concerns after eating this cereal I’m convinced it’s the cereal as it’s the only new thing that I’ve added to my diet lately. I will report back after tomorrow and I fast again to release this pressure and hopefully gain my normal digestion back. I’d like to note: I’m 42yo 5’5” tall with 15% body fat. I weight 160lbs. Exercise regularly and I have no known allergies. My wife on the other hand ate some with me and she seems to be doing fine. Purchased at Costco, and this box I brand new.. 2 times I've eaten the cereal at night. I wake up with a sour stomach and can still burp up the cereal. The whole next few days my stomach is bloated, gassy, and queezy.

Around 10:25pm that night, I had very bad stomach cramps, indigestion, gas, a lot of burping, nausea, stomach kept moving around - feel something moving upward and downward.. feel this will make a grand exit either diarrhea or puking. Absolutely awful. Will not be eating here. Had all of these symptoms all night.
