Riverside County Fire Department announced that they received shortly after midnight on Monday, April 25, 2022 reports of several sub-contracted Coachella festival shuttle drivers becoming ill with food poisoning after dining at an offsite location by a caterer unaffiliated with the festival.

At least 2 dozen of... See More shuttle bus drivers were transported to hospitals through the Coachella Valley. The chief complaint of the shuttle drivers was nausea and vomiting. This incident did not affect any of the guests attending the festival according to the release.

Seattle & King County Public Health announced that they are investigating an outbreak of norovirus-like illnesses with vomiting, diarrhea, body aches, and chills linked to La Fuente located at 3221 NE Sunset Blvd, Renton, WA. Since April 13, 2022, 10 people from 2 separate meal parties reported... See More becoming ill after eating food from La Fuente on April 10, 2022. They have not identified any ill employees. No hospitalizations or death are reported at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

The restaurant closed on April 15, 2022 to complete a thorough cleaning and disinfection, and was reopened on April 16, 2022 after Environmental Health Investigators confirmed proper cleaning and disinfection was complete.

Norovirus is very contagious and is easily transmitted from person to person most through the oral/fecal route. Considering that hand sanitizer does NOT work against this virus, it is important to wash your hands with soap. Use bleach to clean and disinfect surfaces.

The Allegheny County Health Department confirmed to Pittsburg CBS (KDKA) it is investigating reports of gastrointestinal illnesses after three large events held at the facility on April 2 and April 3. Norovirus is suspected.

Later Saturday night, a wedding was held there, hosts said of the 155 people in attendance, 80 have reported an illness so far.
