In 2022, former Beyond meat employees leaked pictures and documents of several food safety issues in a production plant in Pennsylvania, the most notorious ones being products positive for Listeria, growing of mold in some areas, and reports of extraneous materials in products, among others. The most common symptoms mentioned are diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and cramps

surpassed the usual discomfort. While appreciating alternatives to meat, I find more satisfaction in the unique and nutritious flavor combinations of vegetables I don’t need an alternative that tastes like meat. Beyond Meat's attempt to replicate meat taste felt unnecessary, especially considering the unpleasant aftermath and keeping in mind that these products are not healthy at all. The stock price of BYND may reflect a more complex reality despite famous endorsements. Given this experience, I'm steering clear of Beyond Meat and similar lab-created alternatives. Instead, I'd recommend opting for naturally made, nutritious veg burgers my favourite being bean based or indulging in a real burger occasionally for a more satisfying and nutritious experience, if ethical considerations permit.. and by 8am other symptoms came on strong. I felt dehydrated, or like I was hungover but I didn’t have a drink. Nausea, and fatigue followed by vomiting. I tried tea, water and broth to help me feel better. Nothing worked. No appetite. Everything came back up (vomit), and I haven’t been able to hold down any water or liquids. I often eat BeyondMeat and otherwise have no problems with either food compatibility or Beyondmeat.
Until yesterday.
About 1 - 1.5 hours after eating (coleslaw and BM) I had severe nausea and dizziness until I vomited.
Everything is back to normal today.
