Bob Evans Food Poisoning

Bob Evans Food Poisoning

It's possible to get food poisoning from neighborhood restaurant chains. In 2019 a worker at a Bob Evans location in Washington, MO was diagnosed with Hepatitis A initiating a vaccination drive to avoid an outbreak. Commonly reported symptoms from Bob Evans' food poisoning are nausea and diarrhea.

I stopped at a Bob Evans in the Maryland area off I-95 on my way from upstate NY back to college at Florida State University after holidays (2 day drive). I had a garden salad with grilled chicken on it. Fast forward 3-4 hours…I’m going like 80mph … See More
on I-95 and just start projectile vomiting all over my car, jacket, clothes, dashboard, steering wheel…EVERYWHERE. I knew immediately that someone had left the chicken out at room temperature at some point instead of refrigerating it (allowing bacteria to make toxins) before it was cooked and I had Staph Aureus food poisoning. Cooking doesn’t destroy the toxins. I stopped in Rocky Mount, NC for the night and spent like 4 hours cleaning up everything the best I could despite it being like 12am. I had to find a car vacuum place. I had to put my super expensive leather winter jacket in a bag and put it in my trunk. I was disgusting and felt like hell. Never went back. Please don’t eat there. I could have crashed my car and died and/or killed others on the road. There were cars all around me doing the same speed. How I didn’t crash is beyond me. Worst ever.  | Symptoms: Vomiting
