There has been an unusual surge of reports linked to the Hotel Xcaret in Quintana Roo, Mexico. As of June 26th, we have 11 reports citing 30 people. The majority of the reports claimed they needed medical assistance either on-site or after their trip. There have been confirmed cases of Salmonella.

Only ate at restaurant Arenal inside hotel xcaret arte on Sunday, today is day 2 of both of us experiencing diarrhea, vomiting, dehydration. The dinner shrimp entree tasted funny, and was very mushy so we didn't finish it, believe likely bad shrimp improperly stored.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Dehydration

all by hand without gloves. UPDATE 08/09: I went to Xcaret Hotel in Mexico, July 1 for 13 days.. I noticed VERY poor food handling (no gloves.. lots of people handling food no gloves) On the 10th of July, I started having diarrhea, sore muscles, feverish, a cough, feeling terrible,. When I got home, my doctor told me I caught COVID-19 at the resort. as incubation was about 7 days. It is now 2023-08-09, feeling much better, BUT still have a nagging cough.
