It is possible to get food poisoning from products purchased at Kroger supermarkets. Diarrhea and nausea are the most commonly reported symptoms. Norovirus is the most commonly reported diagnosis and it is easily passed when contact is made with an infected person or contaminated food.

in-house brand and it claims to be lactose free it’s merely just a tag. If you grab a milk carton of lactose, free milk if it looks like it’s bloated imagine that your stomach it’s gonna happen. Do not buy these products if I were you switch to rice, milk, or silk almond milk, but don’t buy it in that store. My advice go to Whole Foods, or along the lines of Kroger. Anything under those two even Walmart I wouldn’t even go there. Not being political. On a serious note, we need to start watching the cameras on the food more than we are on theft. Made tacos. The beans were kinda hard to get out of the can. I thought they were just really jammed in there. Woke up dry heaving and horrible cramps and loose stool. I bought a regular 2 pound pack of hamburger. I made chilli and 6 hrs after I was nauseated and had diarrhea the next day with a severe headache. This has happened twice in the last month. The other was with simple truth steak.

on bottle, because the bottle date for them is the manufacturing date. So according to web sites, it's not supppsed to be expired or rancid. When opening the bottle, it made a cracking sound, as bottles do when they have never been opened before. I took a huge dip and swallowed it fast, as I was trying to hurry to go to bed. The second I swallowed the sip, I tasted a horrible rancid/sour taste, and my stomach started burning immediately. It was instant. It was the same burn as you get when you swallow a " shot" of liquor, but even more intense. I instantly got nauseaus, and started burping. The burning was horrible in my stomach. I picked up the bottle, to check date, and I could smell a very potent, rancid type smell coming from it. It had the lid on, and the smell was still absolutely vile. I knew instantly something was very wrong. My stomach continued burning for 1.5 hours after I took the big sip, and when I woke up this morning, the entire right side of my stomach area hurts. I have sharp, aching pains in my right side. The pains have been occurring for about 2 hours now. I feel like my stomach is getting sick, and I have the feeling like I have to run to the bathroom in a minute. I'm getting the feeling that I'm about to have diareah. I'm worried because I've never drank/eaten anything that tasted and smelled so putrid. I don't know what happened to the drink. I did notice a clear/crystal/crusty type substance on the top of the bottle though after further inspection. I have not touched the drink anymore, and have not pouted out the liquid to see what it looks like. I talked to 2 nurses, and they told me if my symptoms progress to go to urgent care, to call the company and report, and to call the store I purchased it from, which is kroger.  | Symptoms: Stomach Pain, Cramps, Nausea, Burping

The recalled products were distributed in Michigan to 25 stores including 21 Kroger locations, Diamond Dot Market, Holiday Market Royal Oak, Larry’s Foodland, and Tenuta’s Market. Home Style Foods, Inc. has had no reported illnesses to date related to Kowalski Simply Sides - Jack’s Potato Salad.

The recalled product is labeled on the top and front as Kowalski Simply Sides - Jack’s Potato Salad and has sell by date of 04/29/2024. The back label containing the Nutrition Facts and Ingredients is incorrectly labeled as “Very Berry Strawberry”, in a 16oz round plastic deli cup.

During the filling of the cups the incorrect label was applied to the back of the product. During routine documentation review the error was discovered by Quality Assurance.
