It's possible to get food poisoning from fondue. Diarrhea and nausea are the most reported symptoms of The Melting Pot food poisoning. Salmonella is the most commonly reported diagnosis. Raw meats, seafood, and poultry used for fondue can easily be cross-contaminated or undercooked to cause illness.

24 hrs after dining at the Melting Pot my symptoms began… terrible diarrhea (like painful), stomach cramps, etc. 48 hrs after the meal, and I continue to have symptoms… my sister-in-law’s symptoms started somewhere around 30 hrs after the meal, she’s nauseous with stomach cramping.  | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Cramps

I had the Salmon and cheese fondue. As soon as I walked out of the restaurant I immediately felt nauseous. I couldn’t make it to my car before getting sick. Had to pull over on the way home and got sick multiple times. Stomach cramps, nausea and vomiting  | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Cramps
