You can get food poisoning from Publix. In May, 2019 Publix issued a recall for a salmon product due to listeria contamination concerns. The most commonly reported symptoms from Publix are diarrhea and nausea. E. Coli is the most commonly reported diagnosis.

I had some Honey Nut Cheerios earlier today, and a couple of hours later, I still have horrible nausea, vomiting, and stomach cramps. I've had food poisoning before, and this is just like it was last time. It just feels like there is poison in my stomach,... See More and any food or drink I try to down comes back up. I had a different box of cheerios last week, and I was fine, but this new box has caused this. I'm the only one who has had any, and I'm the only one sick. Also, I don't eat Cheerios with milk, I eat them dry. I've already submitted a report to the FDA since they are investigating General Mills. | Symptoms: Nausea, Vomiting, Cramps See Less

I have seen three other reports from general Mills cereal in Florida recently. That can't be a coincidence.

I just finished receiving chemo and had neon poop and nausea and vomiting. My dr said there’s no way my meds would do that and then I saw the honey nut cheerios/lucky charms stories. That’s gotta be what it is. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Vomiting, Green Stool See Less

The FSIS is issuing a public health alert due to concerns that the raw, ready-to-cook chicken entrée products may contain egg, a known allergen, which is not declared on the finished product label. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase.... See More These products were shipped to Publix locations in AL, FL, GA, NC, SC, TN, and VA. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.

The affected product is:
- 12 oz. plastic wrapped metal containers containing “aprons READY TO COOK MEAL FOR ONE BACON-CHEDDAR SMOTHERED CHICKEN” with a use by date of 9/21/2022. It bears establishment number “P-48176” inside the USDA mark of inspection.

The problem was discovered when the establishment notified FSIS that they received notification from their customer that an incorrect label was on the back of the plastic wrapped metal container. The label on the back of the product contains information related to a chicken cordon bleu product, which does not contain egg. The bacon cheddar chicken product contains egg.

FSIS is concerned that some products may be in consumers’ refrigerators or freezers. If you have an allergy to eggs do not eat it, it may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction. Please throw it away or return it to the place of purchase.
