Ate there on 12/26/21 and late the next day, 2 of the 4 people started getting very sick. Vomiting and diarrhea every 20 to 30 minutes all night long, with chills. Can’t keep any water or food down. Worst sickness in my life! Now a 3rd person,... See More who we shared our lunch with, has started throwing up. The only thing we all did together was eat there.
3 if the 4 people who ate there are severely sick, and those 3 shared food there. Ate there for a late lunch on 12/26/21. The next day by 8 pm started feeling sick. Got diarrhea, vomiting, chills. Throwing up and diarrhea every 20 to 30 minutes all night long. Can’t keep any food or water down. 20 hours in feeling a little better, can keep water and tiny bites down for about 4 hours before vomiting again.This is the worst sick I’ve ever been my entire life. All these same symptoms and timeline for 2 people, now the 3rd, my nearly 80 year old mother who lives in a different town, just started throwing up. We had shared our lunch with her.
12/29 Update: The 3 of us that got sick also each had the Rainforest Ricky non-alcoholic fruit drink. It was either the drink or the food that was shared. The food was the Chicken Quesadilla appetizers and the Awesome Appetizer Adventure.
I’m feeling a little better 39 hours after I started getting sick. But I’m still very weak and can’t eat much. I am not happy to have missed 2 days of work and having no sick pay. So I am out those wages. Also it’s putting my coworkers in a bind because they are already short staffed with covid and now have to cover my shifts.
I also spent like $50+ on souvenirs at their souvenir shop, and now I don’t even want to us to wear those t-shirts advertising their restaurant. I will never ever go there again.
What I’d really like is for the Gurnee Mills to reimburse us for the way-too-expensive food and drink that made us violently ill, for the souvenir t-shirts, sweatshirt, and magnet that all say their name on them that I now want to throw in the trash, and for my two days of missed work. The total of all of that would be about $400.00. I’m sure we won’t see a dime.
