Goodbye! and best wishes in your recovery

You can get food poisoning from supermarket products. Nausea and diarrhea are the most commonly reported symptoms of ShopRite food poisoning. In December 2019 the Somerset County Department of Health confirmed a case of Hepatitis A in a food handler at the Somerville location.

Not even an hour after drinking only a Chobani mango drink this morning I started feeling nauseated and stayed away for most of my workday. I had to go home early and lay down and now I have diarrhea as well as full-blown nausea and discomfort. I... See More have not yet thrown up but I have often had a strong stomach and maybe I should. I had to force myself to eatLeftover baked trout from last night which I considered might be the issue but no one else in my family has reacted to last nights dinner. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea See Less

I had a bowl of Lucky Charms cereal last Thursday night, 6/23. I remember this clearly bc I had a clinic appointment earlier that day and typically save eating sweets for the upcoming weekend. I am a recovering leukemia patient. I have to be very aware of... See More any changes in stool/bowel movement. My family was aware of the previous reports involving lucky charms cereal back in April however thinking sufficient time had lapsed they bought the last two boxes just this month about two weeks ago. I had one bowl of cereal with whole milk on Thursday night. And by Friday, next morning, I had a very loose/watery stool. I made a note of it in case it was something I ate since my oncology team also needs this information. However symptoms persisted with mainly diarrhea over the weekend and into today. I do not have a sudden need to use the bathroom right after eating which is a relief but when I do eventually get the urge to go it’s very sudden and painful. Today I had another clinic appointment and reported this to the nurse team who ordered a stool sample for tomorrow. The consistency has slight improved from completely watery to just loose/mushy as of today, 6/27. | Symptoms: Diarrhea See Less

I wanna start by saying that I love fruit roll ups and that I'm pretty sure this is entirely my fault. This is just a general warning to others to not consume too many fruit rollups at once.
I haven't had fruit roll ups in a minute.... See More I'm 38 years old and I stay fit but every now and then I buy a treat and binge on it for a week. So I gots me a box of strawberry fruit rollups and the first night, I ate one. Fine. Second night, I ate 4. At once. Woke up with horrible cramps and then, as my daughter calls it, experienced "100 poo poos." (That's what she called diarrhea as a toddler, so that's what it is.)
I didn't learn my lesson and the next night, last night, I had 3. At once. And this morning my cramps actually woke me up and I am again sequestered in the bathroom with, you guessed it, another 100 poo poos.
This also happens when I eat too many Lucky Charms. I heard it has something to do with the dyes they use?
I don't think it's a warning that most logical people need to hear, but if you're thick skulled and have a propensity towards specific cravings, indulge in them at a reasonable rate. Don't eat a box of fruit rollups in basically 2 days. And don't eat a family sized box of fruit rollups in 3 days. Your lower GI tract will thank you.
