People have reported food poisoning from some Walmart locations. Customers had mentioned Salmonella as the most common diagnosis after food poisoning by food purchased at Walmart. Nausea and diarrhea were also highlighted as one of the regular symptoms suffered.

The FDA, along with CDC and state and local partners, are investigating a multistate outbreak of hepatitis A infections in the United States and Canada potentially linked to fresh organic strawberries branded as FreshKampo and HEB, purchased between March 5, 2022, and April 25, 2022.
Currently, the... See More potentially affected FreshKampo and HEB products are past shelf life. These products were sold Nationwide at the following retailers, including, but not limited to: Aldi, HEB, Kroger, Safeway, Sprouts Farmers Market, Trader Joe’s, Walmart, Weis Markets, WinCo Foods.
As of May 28, 2022, a total of 17 people infected with Hepatitis A have been reported from CA (15), MN (1), ND (1). 12 people have been hospitalized. No deaths have been reported. Illness onset dates range from March 28 – April 30, 2022. The investigation is ongoing.
People who purchased FreshKampo and HEB fresh organic strawberries between March 5, 2022, and April 25, 2022, and then froze those strawberries for later consumption should not eat them. If you are unsure of what brand you purchased, when you purchased your strawberries, or where you purchased them from prior to freezing them, the strawberries should be thrown away.

Consumers who purchased or ate food from the deli from May 7 to May 21 could be at risk for infection. No other food or items were potentially contaminated.
Maine CDC recommends that anyone who purchased items from the deli during this time discard the items and get vaccinated if the items have already been consumed. Any employees who worked during those times in the deli are also encouraged to get vaccinated. The infection can be prevented with a vaccine. Those who have been exposed can avoid getting sick if they get the vaccine within two weeks of exposure.

CDC, and the FDA are investigating a multistate outbreak of Listeria monocytogenes infections linked to packaged salads produced by Dole. As of December 17, 2021, 16 people infected with the outbreak strain of Listeria monocytogenes have been reported from 13 states (ID, IA, MD, MI, MN, NV,... See More NC, OH, OR, PA, TX, UT, WI).
The investigation is ongoing. 12 people have been hospitalized and 2 deaths were reported. Illnesses started on dates ranging from August 16, 2014, to October 17, 2021.
CDC investigated this outbreak in 2019 and 2020 but was unable to gather enough data to identify the source in the past. CDC reopened the investigation in November 2021 when four new illnesses were reported since the end of August 2021. On December 22, 2021, Dole recalled all Dole-branded and private label packaged salads processed at the two facilities that produced the contaminated packaged salads.
The affected products are packaged salads produced by Dole, Sold under multiple brands: Ahold, Dole, Kroger, Lidl, Little Salad Bar, Marketside, Naturally, Better, Nature’s Promise and Simply Nature. Products include mixed greens, garden salads, Caesar kits, and many other types of salads in bags or clamshells “Best if used by” dates from 11/30/21 through 01/08/22. Product lot code begins with the letter “N” or “Y” in the upper right-hand corner of the package.
Do not eat, sell, or serve any recalled products. Investigators are working to determine if additional products may be contaminated.
