Food Safety Report: Fritos corn chips, St Joseph, MO, USA

Look into mast cell activation syndrome. It’s unlikely anything is wrong with the bag of chips, but more so that you are reacting to something in the chips despite not being allergic to it. What happens is we have mast cells in our body and certain things can set them off in someone with the disorder. Highly processed foods and foods high in histamine and left overs are the biggest culprits.

Food Safety Report: Chipotle Mexican Grill, South Dixie Highway, Pinecrest, FL, USA

I was there four days ago around dinner time and noticed that the serving spoon to the white rice had fallen into the rice. This seems harmless but actually this is how food borne illness occurs. All the employees hands touch that serving spoon and it only takes one to contaminate it with some fecal matter from not washing well enough. If you ever see a serving spoon (where people touch it) has fallen into the item to be served it’s wise to pass over the item for this reason. I skipped the white rice for this reason and had most everything else so I would bet it was the culprit.

Strep throat isn’t caught that way. It’s airborne.
