I'm going to guess it was a GI bug you had, not food poisoning. Usually takes about half a day at the least. Food poisoning does not manifest that quickly. And also starting in February the hospitals saw an up tick in Norovirus and other GI bugs that rapidly began overtaking even the flu epidemic which can manifest 1-3 days after contact with a carrier and last 1 - 10 days.
