I purchased an original jack links beef steak jerky, consumed it within 10 minutes of purchase, and I became violently ill 30 minutes later: fever, chills, nausea, vomiting, headache, sweating profusely. I passed out vomiting on the bathroom floor and woke up 3 hours later to more vomiting.
