I am on a clean/organic, mostly veg diet, and have been for some time now. I went yesterday 3/3/20 at approx 2pm for work lunch. I ordered the southwest grilled chicken salad, which was delicious, and I’d gotten it before. The only thing I’d had all day was a keurig cup of coffee I’d made before I left my home that morning. I’m very picky about what I eat, and I wash EVERYTHING produce with soap and water and tell the kids to do the same, even if it says it’s been previously washed. So to make a long story short, I drove back to work, and ate the salad in my car for lunch break. Before break was over, before 3pm, I suddenly, very acutely started feeling pain/body aches specifically the head, neck, lower back, legs. It felt as if I was coming down with the flu minus the respiratory symptoms. I began to feel extremely weak and nauseated by 4:30pm, and literally threw up the ENTIRE contents of my stomach to the point I was dry heaving. I’ve never experienced anything like this, and I’m in bed now looking this up because I’m curious to know if anyone else suffered these symptoms. I’m also a nurse, I thought I should share that as well. So after looking up the symptoms (I was stumped by the sudden onset and the presence of pretty intense pain), I believe according to CDC sources that it was likely a stomach flu/virus. I’ll be making my own salads from now on & bring them to work. I feel like I have the FLU right now, and I never get sick! Definitely not worth it. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Other, Weakness, Stomach Pain, Body Ache2 weeks ago •reported by user-kjkm4719
