Feb 21 Bacon Garlic Burgers from Sonic Drive In Sick

On Wednesday my oldest and I went to a fast food drive up and each got a burger and some tots.  We got a chicken sandwich and fries for my youngest kiddo (knock on wood, youngest is... See More still asymptomatic) Within 45 or so minutes of eating my oldest and I felt queasy and rumbling in our stomachs. In about 11/2-2 hrs, my oldest puked at work and came home.  The first vomit was food/then green twice/and then bile color. Diarrhea accompanied. At 9:30, I took them to the local ER as they could not stop vomiting.  They were treated for acute vomiting/acute diarrhea.  They took urine and blood samples.  They gave them Zofran and pain meds and sent us home. Kiddo continued to vomit several more times and the next day was just diarrhea.  On Friday, I vomited and started non stop diarrhea. We have terrible gut pain and gas.  We drank Gatorade, stayed hydrated, ate crackers and applesauce when we were able and yesterday we thought we were getting better. No one had any symptoms. We had disinfected as we went along to try to ensure no spread to youngest kid.  This evening we are nauseated and I have the diarrhea back.  We both took Zofran.  We know we have something.  We ate nothing that day other than the burger meal.  We had an appt with primary care on Monday and are awaiting stool test results. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Other, Gas, Bile See Less

Have consumed two of the three bags in the... See More last four days and got sick on both occasions. Did not realize it was the broccoli that made me sick the first time which is why I consumed it again the second time. But now, realizing it’s the only common denominator in both episodes, I will be throwing the third bag out. Ironically, the broccoli itself is actually good, and I purchased this brand because you actually get whole broccoli florettes as opposed to green giant, which fills the bag with mostly stems and Broccoli scraps. But it’s not worth getting sick over. Symptoms were extreme stomach cramping (some of the worst I’ve ever experienced) and diarrhea. The stomach cramps were so severe that the pain radiated to my testicles resulting in extreme discomfort, and multiple episodes of diarrhea and dehydration. The first episode which occurred 3/3/24 seemed to be milder in severity, lasting only 3 to 6 hours with less diarrhea and stomach pain. The second episode which occurred 3/6/24 was much more severe, and lasted about 12 hours.
