not the first time the Lucky Charms illness has struck. I’ve been suspicious of the cereal’s association to this affect in the past but didn’t feel certain until of the connection until today. I usually eat two bowls of cereal but my primary gotos are FrostedFlakes and FrostedMiniWheats. I eat the lucky charms from my kids’ supply when I don’t have my gotos available. There are many cross contamination issues, old batter splatter decorates the kitchen, Flour and sugar coat the floor, mixers that have never been cleaned with old crusty ingredients falling into the recipe being made. It has been said that she has had mice previously in the kitchen area, and claims the health inspector "made a big deal about it". Banana & Mango, Just Smoothie Forest Berries, Just Smoothie Strawberry & Banana, and any other ProBox Just Smoothie products. All of these items come in a 250 ml pack size. The recall applies to all batches and best before dates of these products.

The issue was discovered during a routine check by the company. Retailers have been requested to remove all ProBox Just Smoothie products from sale, and consumers are advised not to consume the implicated smoothies.

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.

The product best by date can be found on the bottom of the retail box. A photograph of the package can be found below.

Finished product testing on the mango bars revealed that the finished product may contain Salmonella. The company has ceased distribution of the affected product. The company is conducting an investigation as to what caused the problem and will take effective action to prevent any future issue.

Consumers who have the affected product should not consume this product.
