LongHorn Steakhouse, West Radio Drive, Florence, SC, USA

3021 West Radio Drive, Florence, 29501 South Carolina, United States

The last three times we’ve eaten there I’ve had horrible stomach cramps, diarrhea, and nausea with no vomiting.  I’ve been perfectly healthy walking in the restaurant, but depending on how long we take to eat our food the upset stomach will begin before we leave. I’m not sure if it’s mild food poisoning or if it’s a reaction to maybe some kind of oil or butter or maybe even salad dressing? I won’t be going back, three times is enough for me to know it’s something they’re using or a refrigeration issue, and I’m done.  My husband and I got the filet and the ribeye and we both had upset stomachs and I started  cramping bad enough to cause  nausea without vomiting before we even got home.  | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Other, Cramps

Arrived: @ 7:30 p.m. Departed: @ 8:45 p.m. First time choosing the Longhorn Salmon, which is marked on the menu as a signature entree option. Sadly, it was picked over because it wasn't very tasty or properly cooked; bland and a bit slimy. Although... See More the presentation of my plate appeared satisfying to the eye, the salmon didn't settle well in my stomach . (3/13/24) While home @ 10:30 p.m., I felt severe stomach pain that I've never experienced before; sharp, excruciating stomach pain that during the moment, it beats a menstrual cramp five times more. I thought to seek medical help, but I felt so unwell and lethargic to do so. So I tried resting on my side, while in fetus position, until I fell asleep. I had nausea and diarrhea throughout that night and although milder today, 3/14/24, I'm still dealing with discomfort in my stomach and some nausea. | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Stomach Pain See Less

Sunday Feb 25 till present Suspect is poor kitchen hygiene. We had 4 families at the restaurant and 6 out of 12 came down with symptoms within 24 hours. 3 more contracted within 24 more hours. One was an 11 month old that had nothing to eat... See More but was passed around as babies usually are. Food and service was very good. We contacted the restaurant and they were sympathetic and gave us a 100 dollar gift card but we will not be going back. I feel that since we had different entrees and since a baby contracted it, the problem could  be hygiene problems in the kitchen or kitchen staff with the suspect being a norovirus. I also noted that this was reported 3 weeks ago so I would hope the restaurant receives a thorough cleaning(disinfection) and retraining of staff. I would bet there are many cases not reported. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Vomiting, Cramps, Stomach Pain See Less
