McDonald's, Stokes Road, Medford, NJ, USA

601 Stokes Road, Medford, 08055 New Jersey, United States

My kids and I all got sick from eating fries at McDonald's on Stokes Road, Medford New Jersey. That's the only thing we ate Friday night and the next day around 5 a.m. one of the kids started throwing up. Then at 6 a.m. the other kids started throwing up. Later in the afternoon another one started throwing up and they were all week. My brother's kids also started throwing up because they also ate it. One of them sorry passing out because he has other conditions and we had to call the ambulance. We all spent the night in the emergency room, the ambulance had to take two of the kids because one had severe fever and the other one had been passing out. We ate there before and never had this issue but it was just this past Friday night we we had McDonald's and had this issue. Maybe it was because they were having construction done? I am not sure. All of the kids are now on anti-nausea medication and we are trying to get lots of fluid into them because of their dehydration. | Symptoms: Fever, Nausea, Vomiting, Dehydration

On July 21st I over indulged in all you can eat shrimp. My ankles and feet swelled a lot (swelling cleared up in about 24 hours). My ankles were about double in size. I started having dark green bowel movements which later ended up diarrhea. I was... See More also experiancing a headache and nausea. I was having regurgitation feeling food in my throat even 5 hours or more after eating. I started losing weight daily even when eating more calories. The smells of food made me so nauseous I felt I was going to throw up. My husband had to start cooking outside since it affected me so much. It has been 3 1/2 weeks. My voice got raspier I am guessing due to so much acid in my throat area. It got to the point I was afraid to eat.

My doctor said it sounded like I was having a bile dump and was concerned about my liver. Since my symptoms seemed to get worse with smells, continued green diarrhea, losing weight even with extra calories and the regurgitaion, I quit eating and also quit taking all supplements and either cut out or took less of my perscription in the hopes of clearing my system. I had nothing except water and some of my perscriptions for just over 3 days. I started eating again 3 days ago though have only had chicken broth, crackers and gatorade. Bowel movements were still green diarrhea a day ago. Written on August 16, 2023 | Symptoms: Nausea, Diarrhea, Headache, Swelling, Bile

Feb 21 Bacon Garlic Burgers from Sonic Drive In Sick

On Wednesday my oldest and I went to a fast food drive up and each got a burger and some tots.  We got a chicken sandwich and fries for my youngest kiddo (knock on wood, youngest is... See More still asymptomatic) Within 45 or so minutes of eating my oldest and I felt queasy and rumbling in our stomachs. In about 11/2-2 hrs, my oldest puked at work and came home.  The first vomit was food/then green twice/and then bile color. Diarrhea accompanied. At 9:30, I took them to the local ER as they could not stop vomiting.  They were treated for acute vomiting/acute diarrhea.  They took urine and blood samples.  They gave them Zofran and pain meds and sent us home. Kiddo continued to vomit several more times and the next day was just diarrhea.  On Friday, I vomited and started non stop diarrhea. We have terrible gut pain and gas.  We drank Gatorade, stayed hydrated, ate crackers and applesauce when we were able and yesterday we thought we were getting better. No one had any symptoms. We had disinfected as we went along to try to ensure no spread to youngest kid.  This evening we are nauseated and I have the diarrhea back.  We both took Zofran.  We know we have something.  We ate nothing that day other than the burger meal.  We had an appt with primary care on Monday and are awaiting stool test results. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Nausea, Vomiting, Other, Gas, Bile See Less

On Friday March 8th I had lunch from Memos in Auburn, Washington. I became sick within 5-6 hours of eating their carne asada meat combo. 12 hours of violent vomiting, diarrhea and fever. Eventually I just held Gatorade in my mouth as long as I could and then would spit it out to get some electrolytes. After 12 hours the vomiting stopped but cramps, fever and pain don’t stop until about 24-30 hours later. I am now recovering from exhaustion and fatigue due to not having eaten in two days since becoming sick. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Fever, Vomiting, Dehydration, Nausea, Fatigue See Less

Great Value Broccoli florets. Have consumed two of the three bags in the... See More last four days and got sick on both occasions. Did not realize it was the broccoli that made me sick the first time which is why I consumed it again the second time. But now, realizing it’s the only common denominator in both episodes, I will be throwing the third bag out. Ironically, the broccoli itself is actually good, and I purchased this brand because you actually get whole broccoli florettes as opposed to green giant, which fills the bag with mostly stems and Broccoli scraps. But it’s not worth getting sick over. Symptoms were extreme stomach cramping (some of the worst I’ve ever experienced) and diarrhea. The stomach cramps were so severe that the pain radiated to my testicles resulting in extreme discomfort, and multiple episodes of diarrhea and dehydration. The first episode which occurred 3/3/24 seemed to be milder in severity, lasting only 3 to 6 hours with less diarrhea and stomach pain. The second episode which occurred 3/6/24 was much more severe, and lasted about 12 hours. The product I purchased is actually shown in the thumbnail below on this very page ironically. | Symptoms: Diarrhea, Cramps See Less

The presence of Listeria was discovered during a routine analysis of the ground beef product. Listeria monocytogenes is the agent responsible for listeriosis, a serious infection usually caused by eating food contaminated with the bacterium.

In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
