I lost so much fluid; I had to drink pedilite to keep my hydration up. The salad never made me sick; the back potato was dried out. It tasted funny. I hardly ate that. But that chili had a weird taste to it also . I thought it was Normal because they use the burger meat from the nite before; I believe it was the grease from the chili. The milk from the creme frosty as well. I still feel sick. I will have to go to the emergency room if the vomiting does not stop. February 28, 2024, is associated with store-made guacamole purchased from the co-op on February 10, 2024. All five individuals affected exhibited symptoms of Shiga toxin-producing E. coli.

Disease Investigators conducted in-depth interviews with the affected individuals and Environmental Health Investigators visited the grocery on March 15, 2024. Laboratory testing confirmed four of the five cases as positive for E. coli O157:H7, with three of these cases genetically matching, indicating a common source of infection.
