FDA Follow Up
Thanks for helping out!
Hi, thanks for volunteering for this. As we discussed, this product is now on a special watchlist, and this additional report will expedite follow-up by the FDA.
We usually forward food poisoning reports to the public health departments, however, filing a complaint with the FDA has an additional impact.
The FDA safety surveillance program, CAERS, will investigate and if a potential safety concern is identified, they will further evaluate it. This could result in regulatory actions, safety communications to the public, or even the recall of the product from the market.
To create your report go here
Anyone can report either food, dietary supplements, or cosmetics issues, and a medical diagnosis is not mandatory to report. This report does not intend to blame the product/company but rather prompt an investigation about your experience that can help others in case it’s confirmed the product is harmful.
The reporting process may seem long but it is quick and not much more information than the one you already reported on our site is needed. The only mandatory fields are the problem description, type of report (in this case, product related), name of the product, and your name. Of course, you can provide much more information than this. Here we have some screenshots to help you get familiar with the form before starting.
