I am not sure what your definition of common is. I have not once had food poisoning from any pizza in all of the 30 years I have lived. Grocery store foods, especially packaged foods that have not been open should hypothetically be pretty safe to consume, assuming they are properly cooked. Yes, there are things that could go wrong in the manufacturing process, but I wouldn't call that common. I wouldn't say it is that common to completely mishandle frozen foods after coming from the factory before they are put on shelves. What do I know though.
