if there was chorizo in your burrito, this seems to be an ongoing theme

My guess is that they thought it would be ok to leave the root veg out on the counter for a few hours. Call the health department to have it checked out.

Listeria cannot be cooked out in the microwave, unless the food reaches and stays at a high temp (boiling) for 3-5 minutes if meat. With climate change and current maltreatment of farm workers, a riddled supply chain, we can expect more of this. All veg should be at least blanched before eaten and all meat stove cooked. Farmed salmon is famous for unseeable parasites. It should be cooked for as long as possible and the source noted on the packaging. The best you can do is fully cook everything, don't defrost on the counter, don't defrost and refreeze, don't eat it if it's been on the counter for 20 minutes (bacteria grows really fast) and don't eat it if it's been in the frig for more than 4 days. The frig won't kill the bacteria and it spreads. KEEP your frig clean with vinegar water, or even straight vinegar. Make it part of your grocery cycle. Out with old before in with new.

I hope you went to the doctor ASAP.

Amy's has been sold. Don't eat it. That picture tells a story.

This sounds like definite food borne illness, likely from the gorgonzola. It's best to place your own gorgonzola from a wedge and never buy pre crumbled (may have plastic or other contaminates, including bacteria) Please be sure food is kept frozen and do not refreeze thawed foods. "Freezer Frost" or carbon deposits are a good sign of this occuring. If your food looks like sugar or crystals on top, photograph it and let TJ know. Do not eat it. This is what we did and they were very accomodating.

This sounds more like flu vs foodborne pathogen but it's common to blame the most recent food. Were you checked for listeria? How long did the symptoms last? Are there recurring or lingering symptoms?
