first thing that comes to mind is the temperature environment. Waffle house is the coldest restaurant of all restaurants and there's problem one. Viruses and bacteria thrive in cold temperatures. Only high heat kills pathogens. Second thing is the area of town is not clean for anything.

Why would you eat anything that someone had touched without knowing if they washed their hands BEFORE handling your food or at least have gloves on to help minimize but that usually does not make a difference because idiots drop food on the floor and scratch their head with gloves on while they are preparing food. Is it a wonder why the u.s. leads the world in food poisoning cases

I bet it was either cross contamination by whataburger because they handle disgusting filthy cash and take breaks at the dumpster and then go prepare food OR it is highly likely the driver had a bug and transferred the bug to you. Door dash hires ANYONE and that is NOT exaggerating. I have had 3 drivers from door dash that never delivered because they didn't know how to read or speak English. If I were you I would not use door dash again.

It shouldn't come as a surprise when all you have to do is watch how people do things and look at who fast food hires. Restaurants and fast food hire anyone but it's becoming crystal clear restaurants and fast food must have a protocol to hire people with the worst hygiene and you can forget about anyone having a clue what infection control is
