I am writing to address an unfortunate incident that occurred because of the food served in that location on May 11, 2019. At approximately 7:15pm my friend and I were seated for dinner. She received a $200.00 gift certificate to your restaurant for us to have a beautiful Mother’s Day dinner from her son. We both ordered and ate the Surf & Turf (6oz lobster tail & 6oz filet mignon). While delicious, the evening’s meal had other unfortunate effects.

Shortly after consuming the meal we both felt severely ill. I had severe vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain that started at 10pm and the symptoms lasted for 72 hours. Please note my friend also had diarrhea from the food and her son ate the leftovers and he got diarrhea too. I honestly think the spinach was contaminated and we had food poisoning.

I was so sick on Sunday, May 12, 2019 (Mother’s Day) and my children and I missed a beautiful dinner gathering with family ☹

On Monday 05/13/2019 approximately 2:00pm I went to CityMD urgent care with food poisoning symptoms and pain in my chest, back and left shoulder. The immediately did an EKG and check x-rays and advised I go to the ER immediately.

On Monday 05/13/2019 approximately 3:30 pm I went to Maimonides ER with food poisoning symptoms and pain in my chest, back and left shoulder. Maimonides ER kept me overnight. They gave me medication, CT of chest with contrast to see if I tore my esophagus due to violent vomiting, several EKG’s, Blood work multiple times and I was hooked up to monitors for approximately 18 hours to monitor my condition. I was released from the hospital on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at approximately 12:00pm.

I have always enjoyed your restaurant and excellent staff, but the severity of the food poisoning caused me terrible pain & suffering and I will incur medical bills. Please contact me to discuss compensation in this matter. Attached please find the urgent care and ER discharge paperwork. I fill forward you any medical invoices as I receive them.
