My girlfriend is (or was) traveling from St. Pete, FL to Berlin, MA yesterday. Had nothing to eat all day and pulled over and bought some boiled peanuts around 9:00 am. Shortly after eating the peanuts, her whole throat started to swell shut and is now in the Halifax Hospital ICU intubated. I make boiled peanuts for her all the time, she eats peanut butter, raw and roasted peanuts and has never had an allergic reaction to peanuts.
