I am here with my husband and two sons (ages 2,5). Me, my husband and 5 year old son became violently ill with food poisoning after eating at the hotel buffet.
I first called down to ask if someone could bring my younger son some food as we were unable to leave the room and was told by two separate staff that was impossible before I threatened to throw up in the restaurant if I had to come down.
When I realised we needed a doctor we were sent one at the cost of $300 USd who advised us we needed to go to hospital.
The hotel sent us to a hospital they are affiliated with who would not even see us until we paid $3600 USD. The doctor advised me that we had food poisoning which would have been obtained within the time frame we were at the hotel (we left once more then 24 hours prior to becoming ill) and then gave me his info to call If this became an issue when speaking to the hotel later on.
Upon returning from the hospital at 3am I advised I would be looking to speak to the manager the next day. At no point did a manager call our room and so I attempted to find the manager. I was passed off several times and told the manager would be in later that day. When I still received no contact at 5pm I made another attempt and had to speak with 4 different people before I met the manager.
The manager then essentially told me she was not responsible and made it clear she had no interest or care for my family or the events that had lead to us getting sick. Luckily for her the hospital that they are affiliated with magically could not confirm food poisoning and the doctor had disappeared and no other medical staff could discuss our paperwork.
Despite paying for an all inclusive we have now opted to eat out and not spend any further time at the hotel except to sleep. | الأعراض: إسهال, قيء
