Whilst on holiday, my dad had very bad food poisoning, we saw the chef by the grills cross contaminating the food. Whilst he was preparing the food, he put the fish on the grill then went back to put the raw chicken with the same gloves then went back and touched the cooked fish when he had just put raw meat on the grill. He wasn’t checking if the food was cooked, he would keep it on the grill for two mins, flip it and push the meat down with a spatula and then put it onto your plate. When at the tabl trying to enjoy my food- I ate through the chicken, when got through the middle it was completely raw. Because I work with food, I knew I would become very unwell so I went back to our hotel room and throw it up. However my father didn’t. He was very unwell for two days we couldn’t go out and enjoy our holiday because he was vomiting and he had very bad diarrhoea. We went across the road me and my mother because my dad couldn’t leave the hotel room, but and we had to eat. And she advised us to buy a drink called (AQUARIUS) she said that’s what she drank when she was ill. We had to get Imodium for him because we were due our trip home on a 26 hour coach journey, this helped stop the sickness and diarrhoea as he took a lot of them cause he was scared it would happen on th coach home. But this did not help stop the pain he was experiencing. He come home and went to bed and has been since we arrived home. We did tell our rep who said she would complain however I do not want other people becoming ill due to lack of hygiene and lack of knockledge of cross contaminating food. I was very ashamed of how the food food was being handled and maintained. It was very disappointing as we paid extra money for a 4*. Such a let down. Please take this seriously and a lot of people were saying the same and the hotel has been having bad reviews on their website and on tripadvisor of how bad the food was. | Symptome: Durchfall, Fieber, Übelkeit, Erbrechen
