I got scombroid poisoning from fresh salmon from in August 2019 I bought the Salmon at 6:18 pm. Took it home and grilled it. I ate a tiny piece (fingertip size) and had feeling of nausea and a little bit of vomit in my throat. The next morning I are a piece about the same size and my face swelled up. I got hives all over my body. I called Dr and they said it’s allergic reaction and it will go away in a couple days. It only got worse. I went to urgent care. Got prednisone. It did not help. I was itching all over day and night. Went back to urgent care and got misdiagnosed. Then went back to another urgent care and into ER. Still I did not get better. I finally got to see an allergist and he said it was scombroid poisoning. I got tested for Salmon allergy and it was negative. I have eaten Salmon many times since that incident and have no illness related. It took over 3 weeks to stop itching. It was horrible. I missed important events. I was so drugged up on anti allergy drugs.i had a job interview while my face looked like a monster. And the itching was endless. I still have the piece of salmon and want to get it tested for histamines but cannot find a lab to do it. their fish company are refusing to pay my medical bills. They are not accepting responsibility for that piece of fish they sold me which had to be improperly stored for around 4 or more hours. You cannot cook the poison out of the fish. | Symptome: Übelkeit, Erbrechen, Hautausschlag, Jucken, Allergische Reaktion, Rülpsen
