Beef Tatare, My family (2 adults and 2 children) had lunch on Saturday 17th August 2019 between 1.05pm and 2.21pm. As my main course I had Beef Tartare. During the meal my wife had a forkful of my dish. At approximately 3.30am this morning (18th August 2019) I awoke with severe stomach cramps, nausea and flatulance. I then proceeded to have diarrhoea for around 55 minutes (until my stomach was empty!)....I took2 anti-diarrhoeal tables which quelled the discomfort. My wife woke a couple of hours later and also had a bout of, less severe, diarrhoea and a feeling of nausea. Neither of us have been able to eat today and we both are very fatigued. As this was the only food, during the entire day, that we shared I can only conclude that the Beef Tartare was the cause of this illness. I appreciate that a raw beef dish may have a slightly larger chance of food bourne illness but, as a qualified chef, and having eaten may portions of Beef Tartare (in my 52 years) I know how to avoid the preparation risks and would expect any restaurant serving this dish to follow the methods to ensure that it is safe to eat. My wife and I are currently resting and have still to eat anything today as we are both still feeling nauseous and tired. | Symptome: Übelkeit, Durchfall, Krämpfe, Ermüdung, Flatulenz
