On April 6, 2026 I ordered food from McDonald’s using the Uber Eats App. My order was Simple. It was a Plain, Large Triple Cheeseburger Meal with a Large fruit punch, the new Derpy McFlurry and a McDouble. I got my food and immediately noticed that the fries were stale. I didn’t want to be the type of person to complain about small things like the temperature of my fries so I just ate it and didn’t fuss about it. I ate the entire meal. About 20 minutes later I started to feel sick. I thought if I went to sleep that if I woke up I’d feel better, assuming I probably just over ate. I went to sleep and woke up to the feeling in my stomach of having to throw up. I got up and ran to the bathroom where I immediately threw up into the toilet. This was nonstop throwing up that lasted at least 10 minutes straight. Then, I cleaned myself up and went back to my bed. As soon as I laid down the urge to throw up again came back so I ran back to the bathroom where I threw up again. This happened all night long with some other symptoms as well like Diarrhea, stomach ache, head ache, dizziness, nausea, the chills and a fever. I ended up going to the emergency room and been there all night. I was treated by a doctor and put on an I.V Because I could not hold anything down including fluids. That’s when the doctor told me it definitely looks like food poisoning especially because I mentioned throwing up and pooping at the same time. He said that only happens if someone has food poisoning. I reached out to the Uber Eats support team for help with this problem and told them that all I wanted was my money back since I basically paid for food that put me in the emergency room all night but was told to wait because they needed to work things out with the McDonald’s team. I’m hoping I can at least be given my money back. This is the first time I experienced food poisoning from McDonald’s so I’m in shock that this company even served me food that got me sick because I order from here a lot and have never gotten sick before until last night.
