Inspectors found significant food safety violations during the inspection. Several cold foods, including cheese slices, blueberry lemon cheesecake, coleslaw, and shredded lettuce, were being held above the required cold temperature of 41°F or below. The manager discarded about 10 pounds of food valued at $150. Inspectors also found two cold holding units that were not keeping food cold enough, and inspection tags were placed on the units. Other findings included missing covers for some foods in a prep-area cooler, no handwashing sign at the dishwashing-area hand sink, and no proof of required allergen training for employees with City of Chicago food sanitation certificates. The missing allergen training was a previously cited issue that had not been corrected, and a citation was issued for this significant food safety violation.

Inspectors also noted cleaning and maintenance issues, including debris and buildup on floors, walls, and a floor drain in several areas, a missing men's restroom door handle, and dusty ceiling vents near the rear exit.
