Sulphites are chemicals used in food and drinks to preserve color and prolong shelf life. If you consume something with undeclared sulphites and you're sensitive or allergic to them, you may experience symptoms like headaches, hives, or breathing problems. It's important for people with sulphite sensitivity to check food labels for sulphite content.
If you or a loved one are harmed or experiencing any symptoms, it is important to report it. Reporting can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
