Coppa Auchan recalled due to Listeria Presence

4 months ago source rappel.conso.gouv.fr business

Recall notice

27 Avenue du Forez, Maurepas, 78310 Île-de-France, France

In a voluntary recall, Auchan Retail Services has withdrawn its Coppa meat product from the market due to the presence of Listeria monocytogenes. The product was distributed at the Auchan Maurepas charcuterie stand. The presence of Listeria monocytogenes was discovered during routine testing, prompting the recall. Consumption of products contaminated with this bacterium can lead to listeriosis.

The recalled product is:
- Auchan brand Coppa
- Sold at the charcuterie stand from May 20, 2024, to May 27, 2024.
- The product is to be stored in the refrigerator.
- No specific batch, UPC, or best-before date was provided in the recall notice.

If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.

In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
