Épicerie Basta Company, located at 505 Rue Rachel Est, Montreal, QC, Canada, has issued a recall for its broccoli and butternut squash and ginger soups due to potential contamination with Clostridium botulinum bacteria. The recall was announced in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAPAQ) and the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal. The products were sold until April 23, 2024, exclusively at the Épicerie Basta establishment. No cases of illness associated with the consumption of these products have been reported to MAPAQ to date.The recalled products include
- Broccoli Soup (1 litre size)
- Butternut and Ginger Soup (1 litre size)
The soups were packaged in transparent plastic bags and sold refrigerated.
If you have this product at home, do not consume it and return it to the store where it was purchased.
In case you experienced Botulism symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
