2 days ago source quebec.ca

Recall notice

5192 Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, H3T 1X8 Québec, Canada

In a joint effort, the Ministère de l'Agriculture, des Pêcheries et de l'Alimentation (MAPAQ), the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal, and Exo-Fruits company, located at 5192, Chemin de la Côte-des-Neiges, in Montreal, have issued a public warning against consuming certain Szafran brand soups. The recall is due to improper storage that could lead to bacterial proliferation.

The products in question are:
- The Vegan Chicken Soup and Vegan Vegetable Soup
- Both are sold in 1L glass jars with metal lids.
- These items were available for sale until November 15, 2024
- Sold exclusively at Exo-Fruits.
- The products were packaged in a glass jar with a metal lid and sold at room temperature.

People who have one of these products in their possession are advised not to consume it. They must return it to the establishment where they purchased it.

In case you experience Botulism symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, and stomach pain, report it now. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
