Recall notice

France

Carrefour initiated a large-scale recall of whole chickens due to concerns of Listeria contamination. The product, "Poulet Jaune Sous Film Neutre," was distributed nationwide.

The recalled product is a neutral brand, referred to as "Poulet Jaune Neutre Sous Film," with a GTIN of 3283440033747 and a batch number of 2074055351. The product has a best before date of February 1, 2024. The product was first sold on January 27, 2024, and its sale ended on February 1, 2024.

The recall was initiated after the discovery of Listeria monocytogenes, the bacteria responsible for causing listeriosis. The risk was further compounded by the product's exceeded best before date.

In case you are experiencing Listeria monocytogenes symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, it is important to report it. It can help to detect & resolve outbreaks early and prevent others from being harmed, and it enables better surveillance. If symptoms persist, seek medical care.
