Quebec-based company, Traiteur La Marguerite located at 6630 Côte Saint Luc Road, Montreal, QC, Canada, has issued a recall for various salad dressings and harira soup due to the undeclared presence of wheat (gluten), eggs, and sulphites. The recall was announced in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food and the Food Inspection Division of the City of Montreal. As of now, no cases of allergic reactions associated with the consumption of these foods have been reported to MAPAQ.The affected products are:
- Balsamic Vinaigrette (Sulphites) / 16oz
- Asian Dressing (Wheat and Sulphites) / 16oz
- Cesar Dressing (Eggs and Sulphites) / 16oz
- Harira Soup (Eggs and Wheat) / Unitary
All batches of these products, which do not include mention of the allergens on their labels, are being recalled. The salad dressings were packaged in a glass bottle with a metal cap, while the soup was packaged in a transparent plastic container. The products were sold refrigerated and exclusively at the Traiteur La Marguerite establishment.
People with an allergy to wheat, eggs, or sulphites, or those with celiac disease or other illnesses induced by gluten ingestion are advised not to consume the recalled products. They must return it to the establishment where they bought it.
