I ordered a shawarma plate through DoorDash on 4/18 around 1:00 PM with chicken and steak. The steak was extremely tough, overcooked, and tasted old — to the point that I filed a complaint through DoorDash and received a partial refund. About 12 hours later, I woke up with severe stomach pain and began vomiting before I could even make it fully to the bathroom. For the next 14 hours, I experienced persistent vomiting and severe diarrhea, going back and forth between my bed and the bathroom. I couldn’t keep fluids down and came close to going to the ER. I also had to miss work the following day because of how sick I was. I want to be clear: I had a few positive experiences here before, which makes this even more disappointing. But this incident raises serious concerns about food quality and safety. Based on what I experienced, something was clearly not handled properly, and that’s not acceptable when people’s health is at risk. I don’t take writing reviews like this lightly, but people should be aware so they can make informed decisions.
