Had the jerk rubbed chicken wings and a Carne asada cooked medium well. Severe indigestion/ acid reflux all night after eating dinner there. Pretty sure it was the wings as 2 other people who ate the wings felt off as well. The other 2 that didn't partake were fine.
Had the veal cutlet grinder. Within 30 minutes several bouts of diarrhea and nausea which lasted for 4-6 hours. Occurred in May 2020
My friend and I ate all the same food except he didn't get sick. I had the Plaa Rad Prik (fried red snapper with chili sauce) that I ate half of by myself. Woke up in the morning with moderate-severe diarrhea and chills. This lasted for about 3-4 hours then I felt a bit better.

it wasn't salmonella, it was staph aureus (bacteria)

Salmonella doesn't have a smell or taste and takes several days to develop symptoms. It was probably a staph aureus infection
