You can get food poisoning from chili. While chili is typically cooked for long periods killing most germs, improper cooling and reheating can lead to Clostridium perfringens contamination. Chili food poisoning symptoms can begin as soon as 6 hours after eating and include Diarrhea and cramps.

Only I got sick as I purchased the chilli for myself. I woke up around 9:00 pm with extreme nausea and puke hiccups, cramps in my gut and e... xpelled large of gas from my bowls, and uncontrollable sweating one hicup around 9:30 I Vomited and soon after had explosive Diarrhea which continued throughout the night and currently continues. I purchase Chili regularly, But this time I noticed that the chili was watery and not as hot as normal. I did not detect any foul order. But after the first spoon full did notice the chili had a strange texture. I had a few more spoonfuls and disposed of the 1st chili and put the second chili in the refrigerator. “Picked up lunch around 12 noon March 5. Both my husband and I ordered chili, he got a chicken sandwich, I ordered the fish. I got sick and he didn’t. Could have been the fish or tartar sauce. “Normally I would not post like this, however this has happened now two times in a row. First time was about six weeks ago. Ordered chili mac and fries. When I got home and started to eat, I realized the food just looked and smelled wrong. Only ate less than half of it. Next morning I was on the... toilet for a couple of hours. Nauseated with diarrhea. Undigested chili mac and fries coming out. Stayed away for awhile. Went back last night, and now the exact same symptoms as last time. I don't know what they are doing over there, but I'm not ever going back and I would suggest staying far away. ”

“The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 6,806 pounds of ready-to-eat (RTE) dip and salads products by Food Evolution because they contain meat that was produced without the benefit of federal inspection. There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these pro... ducts.
FSIS is concerned that some product may be in consumers’ refrigerators. Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
The RTE dip and salad items containing meat were produced on various dates from Nov. 9, 2020, through Jan. 29, 2021 and have “USE BY” dates through Feb. 6, 2021. The recalled products bear establishment number “EST. 34309” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to retail locations in Illinois. The following product is subject to recall:
- Taco Dip With Refried Beans, Chili, Sour Cream, Cheddar, Onions, Black Olives, Jalapenos, & Red Pepper thoughtfully handmade —fresh to you — Fresh, Fast, Gourmet (31-oz).
- Taco Dip With Refried Beans, Chili, Sour Cream, Cheddar, Onions, Black Olives, Jalapenos, & Red Pepper thoughtfully handmade —fresh to you — Fresh, Fast, Gourmet. (18-oz).
- Tri-Colored Italian Style Rotini Pasta Salad with Salami thoughtfully handmade — fresh to you — Fresh, Fast, Gourmet. (7-oz).
- German Style Potato Salad with Bacon thoughtfully handmade — fresh to you — Fresh, Fast, Gourmet. (8-oz).
The problem was discovered during routine FSIS verification tasks. FSIS personnel discovered that the establishment produced amenable product at an off-site facility without the benefit of federal inspection, then repackaged and labeled the products with the USDA mark of inspection at the federal establishment.
This is a Class I recall meaning it is a health hazard situation where there is a reasonable probability that the use of the product will cause serious, adverse health consequences or death.

“Went to pick up my order from here. I knew something was off, I get this same Chicken Tortellini Alfredo all the time and never gotten sick. The chicken is usually cooked more and it wasn’t but I didn’t think anything too much. I just thought it wasn’t “overcooked”. “I purchased few items from here on Saturday 20th February.
I have had cocktail Frank sausages, salmon portions, (turky+Japanese mayonnaise sauce+ 4 leaf salad+pasta) for breakfast, lunch, and dinner respectively on Sunday.
I started to feel sick few hours after I had dinner around 11:30pm, vomit... ed twice between 12:30am and 3am and have been having diarrhea since then as well as lots of pain in and around my stomach, shivering, fever, pain in my bones/joints. ”

“The FSIS announced the recall of approximately 30,081 pounds of pork pâté products by AH Company International Distribution Inc because they were imported from an ineligible establishment and distributed in the United States without the benefit of FSIS import re-inspection. There have been no confir... med reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products.
FSIS advises consumers who have purchased these products not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
The recalled products bear French establishment number “FR 56-246-008 CE”, an ineligible establishment. These items were shipped to distributor locations nationwide. The following heat-treated shelf stable pork pâté items are subject to recall:
- 240-gram cans of Monique Ranou Pâté de Foie
- 240-gram cans of Monique Ranou Pâté de Campagne
- 180-gram jars of Monique Ranou Pâté de Campagne Supérieur.
The problem was discovered during routine FSIS verification activities. This is a Class II recall meaning it is a health hazard situation where there is a remote probability of adverse health consequences from the use of the product.
