Marché Victoriaville inc. (Metro Plus) has issued a recall for its artisanal smoked salmon due to incorrect labeling. The product, sold exclusively at their Victoriaville location, was labeled "Keep Refrigerated" instead of the required "Keep Frozen Until Use."AFFECTED PRODUCT
PRODUCT: "THREAD. ARTISANAL SMOKED SALMON"
- Format: Variable
- Lot Targeted: All batches sold frozen only whose label does not include the statement "Keep frozen until use"
- The salmon is packaged in plastic bags
- Overwrapped in styrofoam trays with clear plastic film.
- Sold Frozen
The recall was classified as Class I. The issue was identified by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food (MAPAQ) on April 2, 2026.
